Train to Work with Children, Schools and Families as a School Psychologist

Success in school relies on emotional and mental well-being. At William James College, we’re training a new generation of school psychologists who are ready to meet every child where they are and act as a force for positive change in schools and the communities they serve. Our graduate programs in school psychology feature extensive field experience and mentorship from seasoned practitioners.

Master of Arts and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in School Psychology

Learn evidence-based theories and best practices for performing psychological assessments, consulting with families and teachers, and providing direct counseling to students. Field experience begins in the first semester. Accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).

Format

  • On-campus program leading to a Master of Arts and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies
  • Students complete 2,000 internship and practicum hours, including a full year of supervised field experience
  • Time to completion: three years full-time
