Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis

Our online master’s degree in applied behavior analysis teaches evidence-based theory and practical skills for assessment, program evaluation and delivery of behavioral interventions. The knowledge and skills you learn in this advanced degree program can apply to a number of professional contexts, including special education, sports psychology, the treatment of addiction and eating disorders, and more.

Format

  • Two delivery options: 100% online program or on-campus program
  • On-campus program offers supervised fieldwork
  • Time to completion: one year (four semesters) for the on-campus program, two years (six semesters) for the online option

BCBA Examination Requirements

All our MA in Applied Behavior Analysis program options meet minimum coursework requirements for eligibility to take the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) examination offered by the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) in Massachusetts. Please contact our Program Director at ronald_lee@williamjames.edu to see if we meet your state’s regulations.

You will need to meet BCBA fieldwork requirements separately. You can choose to complete supervised fieldwork as an on-campus student in this program at William James, satisfying both the academic and field experience requirements needed to sit the BCBA examination.

ABA Positive Outcomes Scholarship

All applicants who apply for the Master of Arts in Applied Behavior Analysis for Spring 2022 will be considered for the William James College ABA Positive Outcomes Scholarship. This $10,000 scholarship is based upon merit, and eligibility will be determined at the time of application review. You do not need to complete a scholarship application; qualified students will be notified of their award in their admission letter.

Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis

Build on your master’s degree in education, psychology or school counseling with additional training in applied behavior analysis.
